If you follow along on Instagram or Facebook, you'll know that I used an AI app to create some renderings for my kitchen makeover. (Spoiler alert: none of them were what I was looking for.)
I discovered the AI, whilst impressive, was only good at taking very simple commands. Example: A fancy kitchen. An all white kitchen. A navy kitchen.
Then, I thought I would try some themes. That's when things got interesting. I saved the scariest for last and even put them into a reel with some music. Enjoy!
Step into this bedroom design where timeless styles always steal the show. We've got a new moodboard that's all about combining classic and modern vibes to create a seriously stylish space.
Picture this: campaign furniture, known for its versatility and charm, takes center stage. It's the anchor of the whole room, giving it a functional and traditional touch.
Now, let's talk colors. Navy and white, a classic combo, set the stage for a sophisticated and luxurious vibe. The curtains add an elegant twist with their Greek key trim.
Ever heard of Hollywood Regency? It's that old-school glam era, and our tufted headboard brings it to life. It's all about opulence and comfort, seamlessly woven into the room's fabric.
But we're not stopping there. The mirror frame and ottoman are rocking a cool bamboo motif. It's a blend of tradition and modern style, adding organic beauty to the space.
To tie everything together, we've got a classic navy rug with a white border underfoot. It adds depth and texture to the room, showing off the fine attention to detail.
Last but not least, check out the walls. Navy grasscloth meets white wainscoting for a crisp visual contrast.
In a nutshell, this moodboard is all about timeless style meeting a contemporary twist.
Let's have some fun! I designed this primary bedroom with a Hollywood regency theme, incorporating a timeless navy and white color palette, allowing for easy bedding customization as per preference. Which bedding would you choose? Or, are you like me and want them all?
I'm an old school fanatic of Pinterest. It used to be my preferred social media platform way before the Instagram and TikTok frenzy took over the scene. I've been actively pinning since 2010, and it's intriguing to reminisce about my past style choices. While many have a timeless appeal, some looks require a few tweaks to match my current aesthetic sensibilities.
Consider this living room, for example. While my love for Hollywood Regency-inspired designs, with bold patterns, and the classic black-and-white theme remains unwavering, it does give off a slightly "2010" vibe.
Here's a fresh take on an old favorite. What do you think of this updated look?

Have you ever seen a room online and thought you'd like to recreate something similar, but you have no idea where to start? As a Residential Interior Decorator providing virtual services, I'll use your inspiration photos to create a custom moodboard and shopping list that fits your budget and floorplan to a tee.
There's something undeniably comforting about walking into a home infused with the warm, inviting scent of a simmering pot. With just a few kitchen staples in a pot of water, you've unlocked a simple yet magical way to transform any space into a haven of tranquility and nostalgia.
Imagine the zesty kick of lemons hanging out with the earthy vibes of rosemary, while those spicy peppercorns bring the heat. Then, just when you thought it couldn't get any better, in comes the sweet vanilla, adding that cozy, rich sweetness that makes it all pop. It's like a big, warm, inviting hug for your nose that just makes you feel all fuzzy inside.
Here's how to create your own Williams Sonoma signature scent simmering pot.
You might find this a bit unconventional, but my inspiration for this moodboard was a mix of some killer Wayfair deals and the stunning artwork of Gustav Klimt, especially his famous masterpiece, "Judith and the Head of Holofernes."
Klimt's iconic painting is a total showstopper with its lush colors and intricate shapes. It really fired up my creativity for this cozy reading nook.
If you take a closer look at the painting, you can't miss the opulent golds, vibrant greens, and subtle black and white touches. Those colors became the foundation for the moodboard's carefully thought-out color scheme.
And speaking of the painting, it's loaded with geometric and organic shapes – swirls, spirals, and captivating ornamentation. I tried to bring those shapes and patterns to life with the scalloped detail in the bookcase, the chandelier's bubbly design, and the spots on the area rug.
To fully embrace that Klimt-inspired vibe, I also picked out decorative accents that echo the painting's shapes and colors, including some groovy geometric designs and art pieces from the Art Nouveau era.
Now, a quick heads up if you're thinking of shopping Wayfair. I have purchased numerous items from there myself, but I'd like to offer a word of caution: Remember that Wayfair is a marketplace where prices can vary significantly. It's crucial to approach your purchases with care, paying close attention to reviews to make informed decisions. That being said, I've been satisfied with the delivery time, quality of merchandise and customer service.
