The Art Deco era, known for its opulence and sophistication, is one of my favourite design eras. This style, which flourished in the 1920s and 1930s, is characterized by its luxurious materials, geometric patterns, and rich colors. In this blog post, I'm sharing an Art Deco-inspired moodboard that incorporates elements like emerald green curtains, ivory dining chairs, a concrete fireplace, a brass and crystal chandelier, herringbone ceramic tiles, and iconic artwork by Tamara de Lempicka.

The inspiration
Green is my favourite color, so I was naturally drawn to the idea of crafting a moodboard centered around this quintessentially Art Deco shade. Ivory chairs with sleek lines and geometric designs complement this rich green backdrop.
Adding a modern twist to the mix, the concrete fireplace stands as a striking centerpiece. Its clean lines and minimalist design create a captivating focal point, balancing the opulence of the emerald green and ivory elements.
Of course, no Art Deco-inspired space is truly complete without the presence of a dazzling chandelier. Enter the brass and crystal chandelier, which not only illuminates the room but also infuses it with a touch of glamour.
For the flooring, I turned to the timeless herringbone pattern, a hallmark of Art Deco design. These tiles, in a neutral tone that perfectly complements the ivory chairs, introduce texture and pattern into the room, elevating the overall aesthetic.
To tie the room together and pay homage to the era, I decided to adorn the walls with artwork by Tamara de Lempicka. This Polish Art Deco painter is renowned for her bold and sensual portraits, which epitomize the style of the time.
In this carefully curated space, the emerald green curtains, ivory dining chairs, concrete fireplace, brass and crystal chandelier, herringbone ceramic tiles, and Tamara de Lempicka artwork converge harmoniously, creating an ambiance that exudes sophistication and timeless elegance.
